ILA Penthouse, or The Institute for the Living Arts, is home to the famed FlowerSchool New York. Celebrating over 20 years of education, our venue is the perfect place for your corporate gathering or social event. Our all-inclusive, sustainably focused venue can host events from a 10 person private dinner to a 225 person cocktail party with seated dinner and endless partying options. We can cook, design and plan any event with little to no waste.

Our approach to events is about planning ahead, sustainability, accessibility and creativity. Our efforts began with FlowerSchool in our floral design programs, where all of our classes adopted an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional floristry methods.

From there we realized that not just the floral component of events should be eco-friendly, but there was no reason why the entire event shouldn't be good for the planet. We decided to invest in changing the way planners and designers approached events by offering eco-friendly solutions to all event needs, in a space already home to honoring the earth.

ILA Roof Deck - Up to 225pp

With 4,500sft of open space, the ILA Roof Deck is an amazing location for dinners, dancing, pickle ball, picnics and any other outdoor activity you can imagine. With beautiful views of Hudson Yards and wide open space, it is always a good time to enjoy the ILA Penthouse Roof Deck.

ILA Weddings - up to 175pp

ILA is the perfect venue for a casual and beautiful wedding. Being home to the famed FlowerSchool NY, we are flower forward with everything we do.

Most of our couples have been thrilled to learn that we can be all inclusive while being open to bringing in any specialty vendor to make the day extra special.

Private Dinners In the ILA Dinning Room - Up to 150pp

With 2,500 sq ft. of raw space, our main dining room can accommodate up to 150 guests for weddings, birthday celebrations, bridal and baby showers, corporate events and brand activations. The room is legally able to accommodate up to 225 standing. This NYC event space is highly customizable, as we have NO columns obstructing your design plans.

ILA Meetings and Presentations

ILA Penthouse is ideal for a meeting or presentation with a lively social component. With three separate areas; a meeting room, break out rooms, bar room and roof deck, ILA will be sure to have any configurations necessary. After your meeting, you can enjoy several hours our wonderfully pointed menu of organic foods and wellness beverages offerings from our extensive menu.

ILA Bar Room - up to 60pp

Our 1,200 sq ft. bar room space is the perfect venue for your next New York City intimate gathering or event. We host dinner parties, cocktails parties, birthday celebrations, bridal and baby showers, corporate events and brand activations for up to 60 guests in this well planted and pointed space.
